Fees - Criminal and Regulatory Matters

Professional fees for criminal matters in the District Court are:

• $250.00 per hour plus GST
• $2,000.00 per day plus GST for the first 8 hours and then the hourly rate thereafter
• Travel costs are set out in in the Scale of Fees for Summary and Regulatory Matters

Where the matter is subject to a grant of legal aid then the professional fee is set by the legal aid grant.
